The BW1 can glide over any surface including sand, grass and water.
Even the standard golf cart needs a little upgrading, right? Redesign it a bit and slap on an inflatable skirt and a 65-horsepower engine to turn it into the BW1, the first hovercraft golf cart in existence.
The video about the hovercraft golf cart prototype by professional golfer Bubba Watson and his sponsor Oakley first went viral in April and according to an article on Forbes a hundred units of the BW1 will be made available by this month.
True enough, a couple of units of the BW1 have already been purchased by the Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio, and the hovercraft golf carts will be available for rent to golfers at the club starting July 27th. The club is even holding a ‘Hover Bash’ to introduce the new golf carts.
The BW1 can glide over different surfaces like sand, grass, and even water–making it more convenient and, let’s face it, way cooler for golfers to drive all around the course.
