3D-Printed Hyperloop Model Brings The Concept To Life [Video]

WhiteClouds Labs created a small-scale model of the futuristic transport system designed by Elon Musk.

While we may not see Tesla Motors and SpaceX founder Elon Musk’s Hyperloop become a reality just yet, we can certainly enjoy a 3D-printed model of the futuristic transport system right now.

The folks at WhiteClouds Labs have created a small-scale model of the Hyperloop. CEO Jerry Ropelato challenged his 5-member team to build a model of the transport system in less than 24 hours and they delivered.

Each team member took a component of the Hyperloop and created digital 3D models based on the plans released by Musk. The parts of the Hyperloop were then 3D-printed layer by layer and the team assembled the parts to resemble the Hyperloop design.

The 3D-printed Hyperloop model consists of elevated tubes supported by pillars and transport capsules running through the tubes.

The WhiteClouds team got the idea to make the model when Musk released his plans for the Hyperloop, a solar-powered high speed system that would transport people in pods at speeds up to 800 mph, early this month.
