Dormify provides decorating advice to dormers and students living in college apartments.

Dormify started out like most businesses–the founders couldn’t find the exact things they were looking for and decided to create those things themselves. The story was that Dormify founder Karen Zuckerman and her daughter Amanda were shopping for chic and fashionable items for her dorm, but just couldn’t find the exact look that Amanda was going for. Amanda came up with the idea of designing their own line of dorm decors.

Dormify is now a one-stop shop for dorm and apartment products and decorating advice and tips. The online shop sells products like beddings, wall decors, and other home products like bath and living area items and accessories.

The company also offers DIY tips and decorating ideas, as well as provide in-person or online advice to students. Through their Brand Ambassador program, Dormify selects and trains college students to become Style Advisers. Dormify has Style Advisers from 150 colleges and universities in the country.

The Style Advisers give tips and advice on how students can personalize their dorms and apartments. At the same time they help spread the word about Dormify through blog posts and social media. The Style Advisers don’t get paid, but they receive commissions on sales and learn a few things about business.
