Honda pays tribute to Formula 1 racer Ayrton Senna’s record-breaking race time in 1989 in the new ‘Sound Of Honda’ clip. To create the story the team pulled data from the race and audio from the driver’s car and recreated the famed lap with networked speakers connected with lights placed along the track.

The set-up recreates the entire lap using telemetry, sound and light and without physically having a race-car or driver. The short is sure to be emotional for racing devotees as Senna tragically died in a race in 1994.
