Global design firm Gensler and interactive agency The Hive created an augmented reality experience in Gensler’s L.A. office. Designed to engage and inform visitors, the installation shows off Gensler’s portfolio of work.

The Hive/Gensler Multi Surface Experience‘ consists of a digitally augmented table and book. An interface appears on the table allowing visitors to use hand motions to digitally explore the content of Gensler’s urban architecture and modern cities monograph. The installation enhances each object with a new layer of digital content and adds new context to the contents of the book.

Visitors can also use the interface to access digital media from Gensler’s portfolio on a connected 4k video wall. The impressive installation demonstrates the possibilities of a seamless integration between physical space and digital experience. You can check it out in the video below:
