New Zealand-based multidisciplinary designer Ryan Romanes created the Urban Survival Pack that is designed to teach children about agriculture and survival.

The Urban Survival Pack comes in an acrylic and sterling board box with 12 cardboard tubes inside. The survival pack contains a gardening set that includes a spade, trowel, and a rake. The pack also comes with an emergency shelter and packs of seeds of garden peas, lettuce, and others. The cardboard tubes can be filled with soil to plant the seeds in.

The survival pack was designed to help fight urban poverty and is designed to be used by teachers as an instructional device in schools.
