Since the 70′s Japan’s kawaii “culture of cute” phenomenon has been constantly reinventing itself under different guises. We’ve seen Kigurumi pajamas or ‘cosplay’ onesies, inspired by animals or anime creatures, but japanese firm Felissimo has taken your sleeping fantasies to the next level by creating a line of cushions, blankets and sleeping bags that look like bread, omelets and pastries.
Do these bread beds make you drool or feel sleepy, or both ? On their website they guarantee to envelop you in a “feeling of happiness and fluffy,” and explain that these sleeping beds, dubbed as “sleeping breads,” come in four different varieties, from toast pillows with red “jam” blankets to a swirly croissant sleeping bag with a brown “chocolate” lining. The entire four-piece collection is now available from Felissimo for ¥16,000 ($162).
