The camera phone wielding citizens of the world can never have too many photography apps, right? About a month ago we saw the launch of a photo app that pixelates the faces in photos to protect people’s identities. This week an app that pixelates the entire photo was released on iTunes.

Belowrez is a photo app that pixelates images to make them look like low-resolution images from the past. With the app, you can make any photo look like a scene from an old NES or Atari 2600 video game.

Created by Adam Mathes, the app is available for free on iTunes.
