Samsung‘s Galaxy Gear Smartwatch will make its first public appearance on September 4th in Berlin before the IFA Consumer Electronics Fair. All that’s known about it at the moment is that it will offer a smartphone experience on the wearable device and will not have a flexible display.
The Executive Vice President of Samsung’s mobile business, Lee Young-hee, said in an interview with The Korea Times:
The Gear won’t have a flexible display. The new device will enhance and enrich the current smart mobile experience in many ways. It will lead a new trend in smart mobile communications. We are confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry.
