Daniela Mata's Pop-Up Bass Speaker lets users visualize the music they are playing.

The overall idea of the Pop-Up Bass Speaker by Portuguese design student Daniela Mata is quite simple really. The project aims to turn music into something more than just an auditory experience, but a visual event as well.

The speaker features a glass chamber on top of the subwoofer. The glass chamber is filled with styrofoam balls in various sizes. When the music is turned on, the styrofoam balls move and dance to the beat and rhythm of the music.

The Pop Up Bass Speaker is an uncomplicated and straightforward version of the digital visual effects that we see on most music software.
