Water Bottle Tells Drinkers When They Need To Hydrate

Drinking enough water during exercise is one of the most important aspects of good performance and making sure your body has everything it needs to function properly. In lieu of a personal trainer, there is the BluFit smart water bottle and accompanying app that can tell you when it’s time to hydrate.

Most of the hardware is built into the lid of the bottle, including a water sensor, USB port, rechargeable battery, speaker and LED display. Once the app has been programmed with your weight, age, and environmental details, it will then alert you when it’s time to take a drink, making sure you stay hydrated throughout the day. You can also view your hydration history and customize the alerts from your water bottle.

The company is currently running an Indiegogo Campaign with the aim of raising $150,000 in funding to get the bottle to market. You can get your hands on one of the BluFit bottles by pledging $59 to the campaign. Considering how many people underestimate the amount of water they need to drink each and every day, the bottle could be a great way to develop a proper hydration habit.
