In Coinchat, users can earn while chatting and even tip each other or individual messages.
Coinchat is a browser-based chatroom where users can earn Bitcoin while chatting with other users.
According to an article on TechCrunch, the Bitcoin-incentivized chatroom was created by a freelance web developer in Australia. The site has been up for about five months and has about 8,000 registered users.
Coinchat members earn small amounts of Bitcoin through chatting with other members, but what they type in has to make sense for them to earn. An algorithm determines how much a user can earn based on his activities in the chatroom. Spamming and posting random texts won’t earn users anything.
Aside from earning through simple chatting, Coinchat users can also tip each other or individual messages if they like what they read. Users can spend their Bitcoin on scripted games, which the chatroom supports scripted games. They can also use their Bitcoin to customize their chatrooms with things like new font colors. Users can also withdraw their money to Inputs.io, a Bitcoin service run by the same developer.
The earnings of the users come from the site’s own revenue and transfer fees it gets from users sending Bitcoin tips.
