Designer Julian Lechner has a simple product proposal that aims to make it easy for folks to eat tasty but challenging-to-eat foods like ramen and noodle soup.
Soup Sticks are basically redesigned chopsticks that are hollow and can also function as straws. The hybrid chopsticks are Lechner’s simple solution to eating solid and liquid foods at the same time. One end has an opening and the other end has four small holes so that the user can easily sip soup in between stuffing noodles, meat, or other solid food into their mouths.
The Soup Sticks are a concept design for now, but it would be interesting to see them find their way to a local restaurant near you.
