Doorless Smart Car Comes With Built-In Skateboards For Outdoor Adventurers [Pics]
New four-door concept car is perfect for making it through cramped urban environments.
Smart is known for their small cars, but they could soon be known for their small, electric, futuristic looking cars –especially if the unveiling of their fourjoy concept is anything to rely on.
The next-generation four door smart is not only small at 137 inches, but it is also minimal, having stripped away the doors, rear window, and roof that you would normally expect to find on a car.
It’s futuristic exterior houses a 55 kW electric motor and a 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery. Charging the car using a standard outlet can take up to seven hours, but there is also the option of a quick charger, getting the job done in under an hour.
While the car can probably squeeze through most urban environments quite comfortably, there are also two electric longboards fastened to the roof of the car, along with helmets and a high-definition camera for when you want to be even more fuel-efficient.
