FlipSlips are compact and hygienic shoes that provides back-up incase pain from high-heels begins to kick in. The foldable shoes have a reversible upper that contains the rest of the shoe, so that the dirty sole covers itself and doesn’t tarnish the wearer’s handbag.
The self-containable flats look and feel like regular shoes but they fold up easily to a quarter of their size so they can fit into a tiny pouch or pocket. They feature waterproof neoprene so are washable and resistant in wet weather.
The comfortable and versatile shoes can be worn at work, at the beach, after-parties, as a back-up or as everyday ballet flats. They have a dual-function drawcord which can be used to adjust the top-line of the upper for a great fit around the foot or compress the shoe in its self-contained state.
The shoes are lightweight at around 6 oz and they feature a thick foam cushioned insole. Classic black FlipSlips are available on Kickstarter for a pledge of $25 or more and a colored version is $30. Click through to see pictures of the FlipSlips:
