Google may put functionality first when it comes to most of their products, but that doesn’t mean they are shy about making sure they have great elements of design as well. Their recent joint venture with fashion brand Kenzo to create a stylish case for the Nexus 7 proves this point perfectly.

The new limited edition case draws inspiration from the ribbon fabric of Kenzo’s collection, is made from PVC, and lined with a soft fabric to protect the valuable piece of technology that lies within.

Talking about the collaboration in Paris on Monday, Anne-Gabrielle Dauba-Pantanacce, spokeswoman for Google France said:

Kenzo has heavily invested in a digitalized framework to democratize fashion and make it accessible

For anyone interested in owning of these custom-made clutches, there will be 50 pieces available at Kenzo’s e-boutique for 85 euros (approx. $115) on October 1st, two days after Kenzo’s spring show, which was also streamed live on Google+ and YouTube as part of the collaboration between the two companies.
