Fashion App Lets Users Window-Shop Around The World In Real-Time

Turnhills launched a window-shopping app that provides live views of storefronts around the world from brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci.

Window-shopping is a uniquely urban experience, where brands’ flagship stores display their best wares in floor-to-ceiling windows for passersby to peruse. Turnhills wants to bring that experience to anyone with a smartphone or tablet, introducing their mobile window-shopping app.

The Turnhills app enables users to swipe through storefronts of over 37 brands, to see in real-time the state of their current visual merchandising.

Jeroen Verrezen, cofounder of Turnhills said:

The difference between commonplace shopping and shopping at a flagship store is huge. The large storefronts of flagship stores often have more displays for a more complete window shopping experience. We’re giving people the best shopping experience without them actually having to go to a shopping capital.

The app gives viewers access to storefronts from around the world, providing a sense of a company’s brand identity and their fashion world. Currently, users can curate a personal shopping map and purchase items through linked websites.
