The first flagship store, a 3,000-square-foot retail space, opened recently in Via Sant’Andrea in Milan and reflects Hadid’s signature curved and rolling forms. The space features modern and modular shelving units and seating areas that are unlike those of most shoe stores.
Hadid will design other stores set to open in Hong Kong, Rome and New York next year. Each store will have a unique concept but will still reflect the Stuart Weitzman brand. With this collaboration, the two designers hope to offer customers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
The flagship store in Milan is the 100th global retail store of the Stuart Weitzman brand. The brand is looking to expand globally with emphasis on the Asian market. Stores are being planned for China, Korea, Taiwan, the Middle East, India, Philippines, and Australia.
