Designer Mirim Seo invented a playful and interactive way to teach small children about animal food chains. Her new puzzle books feature small wooden pieces carved as different organisms in nature’s hierarchy and, when organized from smallest to largest, they form a completed picture of a basic food chain. A recent graduate of Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, Seo professes a strong interest in sustainable design that accompanies her love for animals and crafting.
The five books in the set are divided by location: desert, forest, jungle, ocean, and arctic. Cover flaps contain a brief explanation of each ecosystem and identify the pieces by name.
