Infographic Tells Workers If They Should Be Freelancers Or Full-Time

Infographic Tells Workers If They Should Be Freelancers Or Full-Time

Sara Boboltz

Graphic Design Degree Hub created an infographic to help you out, drawing up all the obvious and not-so-obvious pros and cons of flying solo. While freelancers cite greater compensation and better work-life balance as the rationale behind their choice, non-freelancers say a lack of health insurance and trouble finding steady work prevents them from pursuing such individual projects full-time. A map points out the top 20 metropolitan areas where freelancers are found (no surprises on that list). The graphic states:

Many freelancers self-report higher payrates, higher levels of job satisfaction, and greater work/life balance than traditional jobs. But it’s still not for everyone.
