JetBlue Launches Luxury Class On Coast-To-Coast Flights

The single-class airline has come out with a new premium section dubbed the Mint.

JetBlue, the airline that’s been known to treat all passengers equally, has come out with a new premium class on select flights between New York – Los Angeles and New York – San Francisco.

The new luxury cabin, called Mint, will feature four private suites among the 16 seats, lie-flat beds, pre-departure drinks, cocktails, and bite-sized hors d’œuvres. The airline also partnered with New York restaurant Saxon + Parole for the menu, which will be served tapas-style to Mint passengers. Mint travelers will also receive customized men’s and women’s amenity kits care of Birchbox.

The Mint class also includes seats with a massage function, 15-inch flat screens, shoe storage, and a “Wake Me For Service” indicator to let passengers customize their needs.

The first Mint flight takes off on June 15th 2014 and seats for the Mint class are already on sale for as low as $499 for a one-way flight from New York to Los Angeles.

Aside from the new Mint seats and features, JetBlue also has a few upgrades in store for their coach cabin. Roomier seats, a self-service bar, and free WiFi are just some of the things the airlines have planned.
