Norwegian designer Caroline Olsson created a table-sized stationary assistant, encouraging people to write and draw more. The Pencil Light is an adjustable lamp that opens to reveal a container for pens and pencils. The part-lamp and part-container object somewhat resembles Pixar company’s lamp character that is featured in the beginning of their animations.

Connected by a screw and mechanical hinge, the top and bottom of the Pencil Light can be easily adjusted to direct the light at whatever angle you deem necessary. When the lamp is closed, so is the container for your drawing utensils.

Reducing your table-top clutter, the Pencil Light is a quirky little addition that will inspire you to express yourself more creatively.
