Land Rover is inviting customers to engage with the all-new 2014 Range Rover Sport by taking part in an interactive digital campaign called “RACE THE SUN.” The interactive film incorporates competitive gameplay and draws viewers into a high octane race across treacherous landscapes.
The race allows you to choose how you engage with the film by either syncing your smartphone, turning it into a game controller and second screen experience, or by interacting with your computer keyboard. Making use of cutting edge WebSocket technology, you can sync your smartphone with the film as it plays, creating a real-time experience that challenges viewers to match the maneuvers of the Range Rover Sport by tilting, tapping and swiping your touchscreen.

With three gaming elements, a simple configurator and 360º views of the interior and exterior of the vehicle, RACE THE SUN will provide an immersive new experience of the Range Rover Sport.
RACE THE SUN, which also features a 360º interior and exterior experience of the Range Rover Sport, was developed by Y&R NYC and Wunderman NY, and directed by the highly acclaimed Danté Ariola. The project also showcases the work of award-winning Stink Digital, and is part of a much larger campaign called “Driven to Another Level,” which will support the release of the 2014 Range Rover.
