Photographer attempts to break the law across all 50 states with a project highlighting silly legislation.

In Alabama it’s illegal to have an ice cream cone in your back pocket at all times.

Photographer Olivia Locher is a recent graduate from the School of Visual Arts, and has already made a name for herself with her masterful use of color and playful sensibilities. As part of an ongoing series called ”I Fought The Law,” the photographer has dug up some strange laws from across the United States to create a collection of seriously absurd photographs.

Each of the photographs bursts with color and aims to violate a law that clearly has no place in the modern world. The flagrant disobedience of these bizarre laws make the series even more good fun, which is capped off by the good news that Locher intends to cover all 50 states before she’s done.
