Japanese artist Takashi Murakami opened a Scandinavian-themed bar called Bar Zingaro that focuses on coffee, cocktails, and, of course, art.

The bar is a project by Norwegian company Fuglen, which handled concept development, project management, market planning, architecture and design, construction, as well as development of the menu and training the staff.

The bar is a way for Murakami to connect his existing galleries in the same area, Nakano Broadway in Tokyo.

Aside from showcasing the artist’s work, the new bar is also designed to support the work of young Japanese artists.
