Animated Emoji Could Put A Halt To Texting And Driving [Video]

Petition encourages Apple to add an chat icon about driving deaths to the iPhone library.

Texting and driving causes 1.6 million crashes every year, and kills 11 teens per day. So, it makes sense that Texts Wreck are trying to get people’s attention using an approach that is especially relevant to those who text and drive – an emoji. You can see the emoji for yourself in the video below, and if you access Textwrecks.com on your phone, you can get hold of it for yourself.

The website is also petitioning Apple to get the “Texts Wreck” emoji into Apple’s official library so that everyone has access to it as a standard, and can do their part to raise awareness. After all, texting and driving is the equivalent of drinking and driving, which makes it a lot more serious than people think.
