Without using Photoshop, artist JeeYoung Lee created imaginative scenes in her studio and placed herself in the middle of the sets.
Korean artist JeeYoung Lee creates and photographs amazing scenes inside her small studio. Instead of using photo manipulation, she works for months to produce the imaginative sets.
Lee also places herself in the middle of the transformed art studio to create the series of impressive self-portraits ‘Stage of Mind’. The scenes, inspired by her personal life and Korean fables, include a space filled with lotus flowers, one painted with an all-over checkerboard pattern, another a maze of black and yellow pipes, and one unleashing a swarm of black birds.
Pieces from the ongoing series ‘Stage of Mind’ will be exhibited at the Opiom Gallery in France next year from February 14th to March 15th. Click through to see a selection of Lee’s images:
