Nike teamed up with designer Anthony Hart for an one-time art installation at their Minneapolis store, where customers can play with magnets to create their own sneakers. This interactive magnetic board is set up in the Familia Skateshop, and has all the pieces one would need to become a world-class sneaker designer.

Shoe 3

Of course it is fun to play with, but only if you’re okay with never being able to bring your design to life. Nike has no plans to mass produce the set of magnets. So unless you are around the Mid West, don’t expect to purchase these toy pieces any time soon.

Just because you can’t have your own collection doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the concept virtually. Here is a video showcasing some of the store’s best magnetic shoe designs.
