Squeeze-Sensitive Stylus Allows For Razor Precision Off Of The Traditional Canvas [Pics]

Squeeze-Sensitive Stylus Allows For Razor Precision Off Of The Traditional Canvas [Pics]

Redesigned device takes a new approach to pressure sensitivity for your digital art.

Ross Brooks

YuFu is a new range of pressure-sensitive styluses that take their name from a renowned Chinese painter, poet and calligrapher of the Song Dynasty. Even though it could be the tool of only serious artists and perfectionists, the company aimed to create a set of quality tools that are suited to all digital writing and drawing tasks.

There will be three models available: YuFu, YuFu Focus, and YuFu Pro. For those who consider themselves serious artists or professionals, the only option is the YuFu Pro. It has 4,048 levels of pressure sensitivity, which are activated when you squeeze the pen, as opposed to traditional models that put a lot of pressure on the nib of the stylus. There are also tilt sensors for shading and calligraphy, along with optional gestures such as tap and shake to erase.

YuFu has turned to Kickstarter to try and raise the money for their latest project, which means you can get a YuFu Pro for $65 now, or wait until it costs $99 after it’s been released to the general public.
