The 33-minute documentary on the popular condiment Sriracha has finally been released online.

Sriracha The Movie, created by Griffin Hammond, documents the life of David Tran, founder of Huy Fong Foods and the person responsible for creating and making sriracha popular. The film explains how it became a cult obsession and goes behind Tran’s two hot sauce factories. Hammond also filmed in Si Racha, Thailand where the hot sauce originated.

Huy Fong Foods was founded in 1980 and has been growing roughly 20% almost every year without even spending anything on advertising. Recently, the company’s newest factory located in Irwindale, California, has been ordered by the court to partially shut down due to complaints that it was causing people’s eyes to get irritated.

The documentary started out as a Kickstarter project and can now be downloaded for $5 on the website.
