Innovative retail store STORY’s ‘Home for the Holidays’ guide features more than 150 independent brands.
STORY, the ever-changing Chelsea retailer, has designed a holiday shopping experience that supports small businesses across the country called Home for the Holidays. With the help of American Express, their 2000 square foot space has been designed to bring the ease of shopping online offline, and create a dynamic living gift guide that allows you to Shop Small.
SoHo-based interior designer Jason D. Bell envisioned the Chelsea store as a modern, urban-inspired dwelling, which juxtaposes industrial materials with metallic accents to create a warm and easy-to-shop environment. There is a handsome bar stocked with must-haves for him, a dining room filled with tasteful picks for the home chef, and playful presents for the creative kid. You can just as easily pop in to pick up a present on the way to the party or lounge around at the bar and make yourself comfortable.
Since its opening in December 2011, STORY has worked with 568 small businesses and hosts its signature Pitch Night events, which invite the maker community in to pitch their products to be sold at STORY. Home for the Holidays is no different, and will feature more than 150 independent brands, along with signage to highlight each of their unique stories.
The shopping experience will be available right up until December 31st.
