Tim Voegele-Downing, global creative director at Avery Dennison, spoke at PSFK’s launch event for our Future of Retail Report in San Francisco about the great strides being made in an area of retail that is considered neither exciting nor imperative to the marketing process: inventory. On the contrary, as Voegele-Downing points out, inventory is central to the entire retail process:

Before you have accurate inventory control, you can’t build any of the fantastic stuff. You can’t build the fantastic apps that people are using without the backbone of inventory accuracy.
