If you were ever in doubt that technology has made it easier to produce beautiful pieces of art, then you might want to take a look at these Mark Rothko recreations that were done with nothing more than an iPhone. The man responsible was Derek Brahney, a Syracuse University graduate and multidisciplinary designer who decided to try his hand at something a little more abstract.

Apart from his abstract creations, Brahney is also an illustrator of pictures, designer of objects and creator of one-off items of fashion. While his intentions may have been as simple as having some fun with his work, he has really demonstrated that there are very few excuses not to try and express your creative side in this modern age.
