Patrick Jackson, a firefighter and developer from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, is a Google Glass Explorer and he’s developing an app that would give first responders and rescuers hands-free access to information they would need during emergency situations.

As featured in an Explorer Story video, the app would display building floor plans to firefighters and show them where to find the nearest fire hydrant. The app could also show them rescue procedures like extraction diagrams for vehicle-related accidents.

The goal of the app is to help frontliners work faster, safer, and smarter and save more lives.
