Polaroid have already impressed some people at CES 2014 with their new Socialmatic camera, but it would appear the company still has a lot more to offer. As part of an upcoming line of action cameras, Polaroid has released a super-cute 35-mm cube camera called the C3. Despite its adorable exterior, the cuboid camera is packed full of features that make it perfect for capturing your outdoor and underwater adventures.
Expected to ship for $99 later this summer, the C3 features a 120-degree wide-angle lens that can capture HD video in 1280 x 720 and 640 x 580 resolution, as well as still images up to 5 megapixels. It’s waterproof for up to 2 meters (6.6 feet), and contains 2MB of internal storage, with a micro SD slot which can accommodate up to 32 GB. There’s even a microphone and LED light packed into the tiny Polaroid camera.
According to The Verge, the prototype showed off at CES felt grippy and almost too small to be real. However, while the C3 was a nonworking prototype, and is unlikely to unseat GoPro anytime soon, it’s definitely an interesting sign of life from Polaroid after years of relative silence.
