A creative team at advertising agency Leo Burnett Lisboa were commissioned to produce a brochure for the electricity company EDP Group to educate people about its Access to Energy campaign. This campaign aims to bring power to isolated communities, while raising awareness about the global consumption of electricity.
The brochure was created off the grid using techniques that don’t rely on electricity, and took a month’s worth of work. Designers did the drawings and folded the brochures by hand, used sunlight as the light source, printed hundreds of copies manually, and documented the whole process with analog cameras in an attempt to show people how large a role electricity plays in their lives.
