There can be many reasons why a person chooses to wear rimmed glasses instead of contacts, and Oh My Glasses’ new collection of eyewear may be one of them. In collaboration with Wieden-Kennedy Tokyo, the Japanese e-commerce startup is introducing a new line of eyewear that takes design inspiration from typefaces like Helvetica and Garamond.
TYPE frames mimic the unique characteristics of the fonts. The frames come in different thickness depending on how “italic” or “bold” they are. To help its customers find the perfect pair of glasses, the company offers multiple color options and style-selections to choose from.
The collection will be available for purchase in Japan starting January 30th.
