The famous comedian takes on the challenge of turning bizarre chip flavors into melodies.
Wayne Brady is considered to be one of the top American comedians, but his skills were put to the test when he sang about fan-suggested Lay’s Potato chip flavors.
On Tuesday from noon to 6pm EST, Brady sat in a studio with an accompanist and created songs about the unique ingredient combinations on the spot. Some suggested flavors include Poutine, Sweet Hawaiian, and Crystalized Ginger Molasses, which Brady turned into impromptu tunes.
Videos were created to promote the second Lay’s Do Us a Flavor contest, where people create their own flavors in the hopes of winning $1 million and having their submission sold across the U.S. Last year’s winning entry was Cheesy Garlic Bread, beating out 3.8 million other submissions.
