One of the biggest complaints of long-distance relationships is the lack of physical intimacy, but a new device called Kiiroo could soon make that a long-forgotten complaint. This high-tech sex toy wants to create the next phase of digital intimacy, and make it possible to connect with others in an entirely new way online.

The company doesn’t just see itself as just a sexy toy company; instead it wants to be a tech company that creates a new community and allows people to be intimate in the third dimension. Kiiroo offers a social platform where you can share content, add comments, write rich blog posts, and post media that reflects your personality. Should a potential partner be interested, it also allows you to engage with them physically.


There are two different devices; the SVir, a gadget for men with eight contracting rings inside that sends out and receives sensory data from the partner version, and the OPue, a vibrator for women that sends out a signal to the SVir. Kiiroo also hopes to create launch a two-way OPue that can both send and receive data further down the line.
