Developed by CDx Life, a La Jolla, California-based science and tech company, MyDx (My Diagnostics) is a portable analyzer that can test for chemicals in food, drinks, and toxins in the air.

MyDx has an interface designed to work with iOS and Android smartphones, and can be synced with the smartphone through the MyDx app. Once they are synced, the sample can be placed in the MyDx device and the results will be displayed through the app.

The team behind the portable analyzer has developed four different sensors that can be used interchangeably with the MyDx Mulit-Use Analyzer Platform. The OrganaDx sensor tests food for organic properties, while the AquaDx sensor tests for harmful chemicals in drinks. The AeroDx sensor tests for air quality. The CannaDx sensor tests for the presence of certain compounds in Cannabis and can help the user find the right strain for them.

The Indiegogo campaign for MyDx has already raised more than its goal. As of today, backers can still pre-order a MyDx for Cannabis for $299 and a MyDx Multi-use for $349.
