Created entirely with stock footage from Dissolve, “This Is A Generic Brand Video” is a film that pokes fun at the common and uninteresting concepts typically used in corporate videos and marketing campaigns.
The film was based on a piece written by Kendra Eash for Timothy McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, the San Francisco-based publishing company’s daily humor website.
The video used used clips featuring big words that convey progress, scientists performing research to depict advancement, farmers or workers from different parts of the world to reflect globalization, people planting trees to show how companies care about the environment, and more to highlight the common running themes of these types of videos.
