The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a ski resort in Teton Village, Wyoming. This summer, the traditionally winter destination is repositioning itself as a warm weather fitness destination, as it teams up with the world-renowned running coach Eric Orton, the Hotel Terra and the Teton Mountain Lodge to host the first Eric Orton Jackson Hole Run Camp.

This multiday running camp combines mountain amenities, world class terrain, and a personalized approach to trail running and training. Set in the Teton Mountain Range, participants are given the opportunity to train, learn, explore and achieve at their own ability level. Orton’s unique coaching style aims to challenge them within a fun and inclusive team environment.

The camp will take place from August 13-18 and from September 10-14. Its itinerary is designed for experienced runners of all levels who are able to run comfortably for 2-3 hours. Each day, there will be a training run that focuses on efficiency, ascending and descending, proper intensity, strength running, and managing endurance on mountain trails. There will also be a longer group run/hike for exploring the mountains and the impressive terrain will be used “as the classroom of self-knowledge, run transformation, and mental strength.”

The epic mountain running experience has been designed for those looking to run their first ultra marathon, learn the intricacies of trail running, improve their race strategy, learn how the body and mind work together to achieve their goals, or simply live and breath running for the duration of the camp.

The running camp experience is limited to ten runners and costs $899, which includes all activities and six scheduled meals, but doesn’t include lodging (although the Teton Mountain Lodge is offering 25% off lodging for those attending the camp and a $15 daily breakfast credit). Orton has stated:

I am looking forward to offering this one of a kind experience in the Tetons this summer. Mountains were made to be explored, and the goal of this camp is to become an explorer of your running, of your goals, of what is possible. This is the natural gift from the mountain and the ultimate reward from this camp.
