This week, New York City burger chain Shake Shack is celebrating its tenth anniversary, dubbed Decade Of Shack, with a series of culinary collaborations and a music festival to be held at the original Shake Shack in Madison Square Park.

The burger chain has teamed up with an all-star group of well-known chefs to create five special edition burgers that will be available at the Madison Square Park restaurant until Friday, June 13th.

Shake Shack’s Culinary Director Mark Rosati curated the special group of world-class chefs who are tasked with creating their own versions of the famous Shake Shack hamburger. Rosati tapped chefs Daniel Boulud, the chef and owner of DANIEL, Café Boulud, db bistro, Bar Boulud, Boulud Sud, among others; David Chang, chef and owner of Momofuku; Andrew Zimmern, chef and co-owner of Andrew Zimmern’s Canteen and host of Bizarre Foods America on the Travel Channel; Daniel Humm, the chef and owner of Eleven Madison Park and The Nomad; and, last but not least, April Bloomfield, chef and co-owner of The Spotted Pig, The Breslin, The John Dory Oyster Bar, Salvation Taco, and the Tosca Cafe.

For each day this week, a new culinary collaboration burger created by a different chef will be made available for $8.50 each. Only 1,000 burgers are made available each day, and, for each burger sold, Shake Shack will donate a dollar to the Madison Square Park Conservancy and NYC Parks.

For Monday, Chef Boulud’s The Piggle Shack burger was featured at the Shack. For Tuesday, it’s Chef Chang’s Momofuku Shrimp Stack burger that’s going to take center stage. Chef Zimmern’s AZ Cabrito Butter Burger will be featured on Wednesday and Chef Humm’s The Humm Burger on Thursday. For the last day of the celebration, Chef Bloomfield’s The Breslin Burger will be the highlight.

In a press release, Shake Shack CEO, Randy Garutti, stated,

We never dreamed ten years ago that our humble little kiosk would set the stage for where we are today. We’re honored to collaborate with this extraordinary group of innovative chefs who have changed the world of food, and we’re proud to call them our friends.

On June 12th, the day of Shake Shack’s 10th anniversary, the Madison Square Park branch will host a music fest called Decade of Shack-Fest. The music fest will be open to the public and will feature live performances by artist like Catey Shaw, The Tall Pines, Cheerleader, Ski Lodge, and Miniature Tigers. A special hotdog cart will also be there to serve complimentary “pay what you’d like” Shack-cago Dogs and all proceeds will go to the parks. In addition, a HENGE concrete ping pong table will be set up near the Shack and will come complete with Shack paddles and balls so guests can use it the whole day.

A Shack-inspired birthday cake by pastry chef Dominique Ansel will also be served to guests in the early evening. Shake Shack also partnered with Brooklyn Brewery to create a special edition collaborative beer, Shack X IPA, which is already on tap at all Shacks in the US through Labor Day. On June 12th, the Shack X IPA will be served in a commemorative Decade of Shack cup.
