Levi’s Stadium Campaign Touts Innovative Features of 49ers’ New Home
Hub Strategy & Communication, San Francisco 49ers partner up to promote the latter's new home with a multi-faceted ad blitz
Hub Strategy & Communication, an integrated advertising, design and production company located in San Francisco’s historic Presidio district, continues their long, creative partnership with the San Francisco 49ers to promote the team’s new home, the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. To show off all the impressive features of the new venue, HS&C created a multi-faceted ad campaign that includes extensive radio and television promotional spots, out-of-home (OOH) advertising, print campaigns, and more.
There is a series of radio and television spots featuring the unique voice of the Levi’s Stadium scoreboard touting the its impressive features, which include the engaging 49ers Museum, luxury suites, and spacious venues for private events. That same voice and personality can be seen in the OOH and print campaigns.
This included a unique takeover of Caltrain commuter services on August 1, the eve of the first sporting event held at Levi’s Stadium. To launch their advertising campaign, the San Francisco 49ers and Hub Strategy & Communication hosted a pep rally at the King Street Caltrain Station. The rally encouraged riders to visit the Levi’s Stadium where they could take part in a stadium tour or visit the 49ers Museum presented by Sony.
Levi’s Stadium is regarded by some as the most technologically advanced football venue ever built. It has seating for 68,500 spectators and is all set to host Super Bowl L in 2016, as well as events including international soccer, Wrestlemania 31 and college football’s Pac-12 Championship Game. Levi’s Stadium is not only an amazing new home for the 49ers but also an amazing place for the entire Bay Area to enjoy, even when there’s not a game. A big part of our creative concept for this campaign was to give this multi- use stadium its own personality. To accomplish that, we decided to use the stadium’s state-of-the-art scoreboard and screen to convey the unique voice and remarkable features of the new venue.
