Nike has been building a community for its fans through great apps and events. Most people are aware of Nike’s running clubs and other festivities that encourage people to come together and be active. Nike is taking it one step further with the Nike+ app, which it calls the all-access entry point for its loyal followers.

Users input their interests, shoe size and other information so the app has a good idea of who they are and what they like. Then the app works as a platform that provides a curated collection of product recommendations, advice from some of the best athletes and coaches out there and a seamless connection to Nike staff. Perhaps its best feature, the app also sets aside specific products and experiences through special invites. Reserved for You invitations are exclusively for members who use the new app. Products that are hard to come by will be reserved for a few hours in a user’s shoe size. Instead of being on edge from waiting for a product to launch, users have the opportunity to seize these deals.

“Our consumers want instant access to the best of Nike and we’re excited to be offering expanded Nike+ services, personalized to athletes everywhere,” said Trevor Edwards, President, Nike Brand.

“Digital enables us to better serve our consumers across our business and we will continue to invest in our digital portfolio of services and connect with athletes anytime, anywhere.”
