The streaming service is engaging gamers by creating curated playlists and gathering original soundtracks in one easy-to-access location
Spotify has a number of playlists to fit the mood, whether it be studying for finals or hosting the perfect dinner party. However, they’ve extended their reach recently to providing soundtracks for videogame music with their new portal, Spotify Gaming.
The portal has several different facets to fit whatever a gamer is looking for. Spotify has a number of original soundtracks from popular games, like The Last of Us, Halo, and Assassin’s Creed, for those looking to enjoy what they’ve listened to throughout gameplay. Spotify also has a number of playlists designed to be played during gaming sessions, with lists like ‘Power Gaming’ containing rap and ‘Electronic Gaming’ filled with EDM.
Spotify Gaming also includes guest playlists curated by gaming journalists from various publications like Mashable and Polygon as well as celebrities like StarCraft player Day and British film producers Sneaky Zebra.
