A new gaming device will light up and vibrate when its owner is near a Pokéstop

Pokémon trainers, rejoice! Developer Niantic Labs is releasing Pokémon GO Plus, a companion wearable that will let you play the AR sensation without staring at the screen all day. The device can be worn as a pin or a bracelet, and connects with a smartphone over Bluetooth Smart. It maintains a low-energy connection used in health and fitness apps.

The device will light up and vibrate when its owner is near Pokéstops, or if there’s a Pokémon nearby. You can catch a critter directly from Pokémon GO Plus, without being able to find out what is caught until checking in the journal later. This add-on might re-spark the waning interest in the popular mobile game.

Pokémon GO Plus will cost $34.99, and be available in most countries starting on September 16.
