Good Ideas Salons
PSFK runs Good Idea Salons to bring together forward-thinkers to share ideas that make things better, whether it’s better work, better play, or a better world.
For New York’s Internet Week 2009, PSFK will hold an event to help our peers and friends. Our Good Ideas in Collaboration Salon aims to introduce entrepreneurs who need help with out-of-work creative professionals who are looking for fresh opportunities (paid, unpaid or other).
Held in SoHo, the Good Ideas in Collaboration Salon will have a couple of talks, a panel and then a mixer which will include a market-place where creative professionals can find out about PSFK-selected projects run by entrepreneurs and offer their services.
We will also try our best to let the collaborators meet each other by pairing up their details and both entrepreneurs and creative professional ticket holders will be invite to join PSFK’s expert network, The Purple List.
Held on January 30th, 2009, PSFK’s Good Ideas Salon London was a day of presentations and panels around key areas steering innovation and opportunity. For the event, PSFK curated a collection of the most forward-thinking tastemakers, innovators, and experts from around the world from established and emerging sectors including mobile, design, publishing, music, collaboration, experiential design, digital experiences, and more. In November and December of 2008, PSFK hosted a series of Good Ideas breakfast salons in New York City. Following a short thought-starter from PSFK’s book Good Ideas in 2009, a group of hand-selected experts opened up the conversation and invited the audience to debate the topic of the morning for up to an hour. Topics included: mobile, digital, social media, collaboration, and entertainment.
