‘The Power of h‘ is an online video series by Lexus that is highlighting interesting eco projects. One video takes a look at designer Ross Lovegrove’s ‘Solar Tree’ outdoor light. The light is solar powered and works completely off the grid. Lovegrove describes the Tree as an example of how design and responsible use of energy can coexist. Lighting manufacturer Artemide was brought in to fabricate the large fixture. He says that many designers create based on the knowledge that they have, often limiting potential new ideas.
