Virgin is teaming up with Google to promote cloud computing. On June 24th, the Day in the Cloud Challenge, lets players compete versus others either on the ground or while flying in one of Virgin’s flights through WiFi. If you’re flying Virgin that day, you’ll receive free WiFi to join the challenge. But if you have work to do, you can opt to share documents, email, browse websites or anything you normally do back at the office.
Whether you can teleconference is not clear, though it might be fun to collaborate on solving a puzzle while flying.

Behance & Cool Hunting are teaming together to host a conference that “focuses less on idea-generation, and more on how inspiration and organization come together to make ideas happen.” More often than not, the realities of bringing ideas to life cause even the best ones to die a mediocre death. As Director/Curator Aaron Rose admits, “Managing budgets is the hardest part of any creative project.” While we don’t expect The 99% to get into the finer details of project management, we’re glad to finally see a conference that explores a side of the creative process that always gets overlooked — [...]

To further their quest to “organize the creative world,” Behance has made their popular Action Pads digital with their new software (appropriately) called Action Method Online. The online program is a new approach to productivity and project management, designed for creative people and teams, developed by interviewing productive people.
As Twyla Tharp underscored in her book “The Creative Habit,” brilliant ideas and sparks of genius can’t happen without discipline and organization. Action Method Online divides all of life into “projects” – “the categories we use in our minds to separate and make sense of what we need to accomplish.” And “life” [...]
